المملكة: Jeddah.. inauguration of a system "Maximo" To enhance the efficiency of managing stormwater drainage assets

Launched Jeddah Governorate Municipality, “Maximo” system for managing assets and projects of the Rainwater drainage, as part of its efforts to develop the work system and raise the efficiency of operation and maintenance, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of Infrastructure and its reliability, and improving the quality of life.

The Under-Secretary for the Rainwater Drainage Program, Ghassan bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, explained that the system aims to improve work procedures, increase the efficiency of operations management, and raise the level of accuracy and reliability in tracking assets and projects, through an integrated digital platform that enables the life cycle of assets to be managed with high efficiency and supports data-based decision making.

He added: The system will enhance the capabilities of the program agency. Rainwater drainage in monitoring drainage networks, pumping stations and associated infrastructure facilities, by unifying operational data and linking it in the field with technical teams, which increases the speed of response and improves the level of coordination between the departments concerned.

It also allows integration with other institutional systems, which supports the management of contracts, procurement and supply chains related to operation and maintenance work.

Coping with rainy conditions

The “Maximo” system is one of the advanced solutions in institutional asset management, as it It provides tools for managing assets and equipment, monitoring their condition, planning and scheduling preventive and emergency maintenance, and managing work orders and spare parts, which contributes to reducing downtime and raising the efficiency of operational performance.

The system also supports artificial intelligence techniques and data analysis to detect patterns and anomalies, and provide proactive indicators that enhance the efficiency of predictive maintenance.

The launch of the system comes as an extension of the digital transformation programs implemented by the Secretariat, and within its efforts towards developing the efficiency of managing water drainage assets. Rainfall, and achieving operational sustainability, in a way that enhances the quality of services provided and raises the level of preparedness in the face of rainy conditions, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
