Ahlam asks for a poem about “the man” to be sung…and the prize is “100 thousand dirhams.”

The Emirati star, Ahlam, sent an invitation to all poets in the Arab world; To submit a lyric about the man, through her official account on the “X” platform, an enthusiasm for those wishing to participate in a prize amounting to “100 thousand dirhams”, for whomever is chosen.

The Emirati star published a picture of her with her husband, retired rally champion Mubarak Al-Hajri, and commented on it by saying: “All the male and female poets in the Gulf and the Arab world, for whoever writes a poem for me about a man that I like, and I sing it… he gets one hundred thousand Emirati dirhams from me, meaning one hundred thousand Saudi riyals… I am waiting for the poem.”

Ahlam’s invitation received great interaction, as it was viewed nearly two million times, with more than four thousand responses, as the responses included hundreds of contributions from the works of young poets, most of them unknown, who hope that their texts will impress the Emirati star.

Ahlam responded to some questions about how to participate, as she confirmed that she would follow up on the comments under her tweet. She chose the appropriate lyric poem for her, according to her point of view, and she also promised in her responses that she would sing the poem during her next concert in the “Riyadh Season 6” concerts, as one of her fans responded by saying: “The most important thing you sing it in the Riyadh Season,” and Ahlam responded by saying: “It is done… and a historic concert.”

The reason for Ahlam launching the competition, and her search for a poem that talks about men, without limiting its subject to a specific idea, is due to the controversy that the Emirati star sparked, when she responded to a video clip, which recently spread on the “X” platform, in which a woman appeared arguing with her husband, saying: “May God bless you, my sister. I don’t know who you are. Answer him and tell him the place is beautiful with you and your presence. What is this response? The husband wants a sweet word, but it will take you to heaven. Your fire. “Forgive me.”

But the controversy developed after one of her followers responded by saying: Ahlam’s words are a personal point of view and good advice. Ahlam responded by thanking her for her words, which she described as good. But Ahlam came back and confirmed her position with a new tweet, which was apparently in response to some comments that criticized the phrase: “Obedience to the husband is worship,” which Ahlam wrote in her responses to the public, and she tweeted, saying: “But to confirm my words… Obedience to the husband (worship), and whoever does not like it will bang his head in the biggest rave! “Kindness.”

Ahlam continued her speech by saying: “I am a graduate of studies, so there is no need to be afraid, you little human animal! I will write a song about men and their obedience, and I swear to God, I will break the world in it. As for me, I do not respond to all the tweets. I have work, and you should delete the X platform… and bark.”

This tweet appears to have been deleted; Ahlam returned and commented on another tweet, indicating that a campaign had been raised on her tweet, until it was deleted.

Not a day had passed since the controversy caused by Ahlam’s opinion about obedience to the husband, until she ignited the “X” platform by searching for a song that talked about the man, offering an attractive financial prize to whoever was chosen in the competition.
