We do not yet see a clear framework for the work of the stabilization force in the Gaza Strip

Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the State, said that the UAE does not yet see a clear framework for the work of the stabilization force in the Gaza Strip, expressing his belief that there is an opportunity for peace.
Gargash added in statements during the Abu Dhabi Strategic Forum: that under the current circumstances, the UAE will most likely not participate in the international force to maintain stability in Gaza.
Gargash said: “Under these circumstances, the UAE will most likely not participate in the proposed international force to maintain stability in the Strip, but it will support all political efforts towards peace and will remain at the forefront of humanitarian aid.”
Gargash expressed his belief that there is a chance for peace.
Gargash presented the UAE’s vision of the crises in the region, stressing that “there is no military path to stability” in the Middle East.
Gargash stressed that the region stands at a “decisive turning point,” and that only political solutions are capable of achieving lasting peace from Gaza to Sudan and Yemen.
Gargash addressed the Gaza file, considering that there is a “historic opportunity” for peace, noting that the recent consensus of Arab and international partners behind the American leadership of the “Trump Gaza Peace Plan,” which facilitated the ceasefire, may finally begin to address deep grievances.
The supposed tasks of this force include disarming armed factions and destroying military infrastructure within the Strip, as well as enforcing the law, securing the border with Egypt, and protecting humanitarian corridors and civilians.
