The Pharmaceutical Authority participates in the Middle East and Africa Industry Exhibition 2025 to promote the pharmaceutical industries

Dr. Osama Hatem, Assistant to the Chairman of the Authority for Policy and International Cooperation, and Head of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Policies and Market Support of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, participated on behalf of Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, in the activities of the Middle East and Africa Industry Fair 2025, which was held during the period from 9 to 11 November 2025, under the patronage and presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and the entire team Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, And a number of ministers, senior officials and representatives of national and international bodies.
The Authority’s participation comes within the framework of the state’s keenness to support the national industry and enhance Egypt’s position as a leading industrial platform in the Middle East and Africa region, and as an embodiment of its role in developing the national pharmaceutical industry and encouraging investment in this vital sector, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian medicine and raising its ability to access regional and global markets.
Dr. Osama Hatem stressed that the Authority’s participation in this regional industrial event is an important opportunity to review the Authority’s efforts. Egyptian Pharmaceuticals supports and localizes strategic pharmaceutical industries, noting that the Authority is working to create an attractive investment environment by simplifying regulatory procedures, facilitating licensing, and encouraging industrial innovation, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian pharmaceutical product.
During his tour of the exhibition, Dr. Osama Hatem was keen to visit a number of the pavilions of the participating Egyptian pharmaceutical companies, where he discussed with their representatives ways of joint cooperation to unify national efforts towards enhancing local pharmaceutical manufacturing and localizing modern technology in this field. The Egyptian Medicine Authority’s pavilion also received a visit from Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Lt. General Kamel Al-Wazir, who were briefed on the Authority’s efforts to empower the national pharmaceutical industry and develop local manufacturing capabilities in accordance with the latest international standards.
