The UAE Embassy in Ankara organizes a visit for an Emirati delegation from the food sector to Istanbul

Istanbul, 11 November / WAM / The UAE Embassy in Ankara, in cooperation with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), organized an integrated work program for a delegation of Emirati companies operating in the food sector, with the aim of strengthening trade and investment cooperation between the UAE and Turkey in this vital sector, which is one of the pillars of food security and sustainable development in the two countries.
The program extended over two days and included bilateral meetings between Emirati companies and their Turkish counterparts, in addition to field visits to a number of leading Turkish factories in the field of food industries, with the aim of reviewing successful experiences, exploring opportunities for cooperation, and transferring expertise and modern technologies.
During the visits, the two sides stressed the importance of the growing economic relations between the two countries, especially in light of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the UAE and Turkey, which contributed to opening new horizons for trade and investment cooperation in various vital sectors.
During the events, Emirati companies held business meetings with a group of Turkish companies to discuss cooperation opportunities in the fields of processed foods, organic products, and food industry technology, and to explore new areas of partnership that contribute to the exchange of knowledge and business development between the two sides.
In conclusion, His Excellency Saeed Thani Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, stressed that organizing this program comes within the framework of strengthening economic relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation in priority sectors.
He pointed out that this visit embodies the UAE’s keenness to support strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors in the two countries, and emphasizes the importance of direct dialogue and exchange of experiences in opening new horizons for joint cooperation.
