The Prime Minister meets with the Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met this evening at the Government Headquarters in the New Capital, Marcin Šebelak, Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Ambassador Hatem Abdel Qader, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal Affairs and International Treaties.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed Egypt’s great appreciation for the importance of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, as it is the oldest arbitration court, and for its main and central role in settlement International and commercial disputes; This contributes to enhancing confidence in arbitration mechanisms as an effective means of resolving international and commercial disputes.
The Prime Minister expressed Egypt’s aspiration to cooperate with the court, and its readiness to provide it with all necessary support and facilitate the performance of its tasks, based on Egypt’s firm belief in the role of arbitration in the peaceful resolution of international disputes, and in encouraging and protecting investment and ensuring and stabilizing rights, which is consistent with Egyptian efforts to improve the investment climate in Egypt and attract more foreign investments.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt, its important role in the Middle East region, and the efforts it is making to settle disputes in the region, expressing his aspiration for closer cooperation with Egypt within the framework of the court’s work.
