The Minister of Local Development follows up with the governors on the progress of the electoral process
Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of the Environment, this evening, followed the progress of the electoral process on the second day of the 2025 House of Representatives elections in the governorates of the first phase, which includes 14 governorates: Giza – Fayoum – New Valley – Beni Suef – Minya – Assiut – Sohag – Qena – Luxor – Aswan – Red Sea – Alexandria – The lake – Matrouh), through the control center of the National Network for Emergency and Public Safety at the Ministry’s General Office in the New Capital.
The Minister of Local Development conducted a group of communications via video conference with a number of governors, including Giza, Beheira, Aswan, Qena, Beni Suef, Minya, Fayoum, and the Deputy Governor of the New Valley, to check on developments in the situation in the governorates, as the governors indicated the regularity of the electoral process throughout the second day, amid a large turnout of voters. On the various electoral committees, especially with the final hours of closing the committees for all age groups.
The governors also confirmed that they will provide all necessary facilities to the judges supervising the electoral committees until the completion of voting for all voters present in the vicinity of the committees, which witness large concentrations during the evening period.
