"National elections": The Egyptian citizen has an extraordinary awareness of the importance of participating in voting

The Director of the Executive Body of the National Elections Authority, Counselor Ahmed Bandari, confirmed that following the electoral process revealed that the Egyptian citizen possesses an extraordinary awareness of the importance of participation and his extreme keenness to participate until the last 5 minutes and throughout the two days.

The Director of the Executive Body of the National Elections Authority added – in an interview with the “Extra News” channel: This evening, Tuesday – during the last hour, there was a very noticeable turnout and density in all the committees, to the point that most of the committees did not close at 9 pm, and work continued until the last voter was present in the elections.

 

He continued that complaints were received from some citizens that they were present and could not enter due to the existing density, thanking the citizens and voters who cast their votes in the first round, as well as the candidates for adhering to the rules. And the controls for which regulating decisions were issued by the Board of Directors of the National Elections Authority.

 

The Executive Director of the Authority pointed out that all complaints about election violations were followed up and most of them were found to be untrue and that things are progressing in a very satisfactory manner. We are continuing to monitor the numbers, and the numerical tally obtained by each candidate will be announced.

 

He explained that the governorates of Upper Egypt, such as Sohag, Assiut, Minya and Beni, will be announced. Suef and Edfu witnessed a heavy turnout of voters to cast their votes.

 

Councilor Bandari addressed the citizens by saying: “We are committed to the pledge and promise the citizen fair, free, easy and honorable elections, and we ask him to continue his pledge and participate positively in choosing the future and the Egyptian.”
