The Saudi Medicines Authority accompanies the Saudi Deputy Minister of Industry on a visit to a number of Egyptian pharmaceutical factories

The Vice Chairman of the Authority explained that the Authority is working to build strategic partnerships with various regional and international parties, ensuring the transfer of expertise and the exchange of knowledge, and enhancing Egypt’s ability to become a center. A regionally advanced pharmaceutical industry that contributes to achieving Arab pharmaceutical security and serves the interests of the Egyptian and Saudi peoples.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the production and technical capabilities of the factories, and listened to a detailed presentation on manufacturing systems and quality controls, expressing its appreciation for the advanced level that the pharmaceutical industry has reached in Egypt, praising the vital role played by the pharmaceutical authority in developing the sector and enhancing its competitiveness. The Saudi delegation expressed great admiration for the level of technical and productive development of Egyptian factories, praising the great efforts made by the Egyptian Medicines Authority in regulating the sector and enhancing its regional competitiveness, stressing that cooperation with Egypt constitutes an ideal model for industrial and investment partnership between the two brotherly countries, and that their visit was an opportunity to learn about the best practices in manufacturing and quality controls, which are a standard to be emulated in the region.
