المملكة: 130 female university students visit the mangrove beach in Darien and Tarut on a scientific trip
The Qatif Governorate Municipality organized a scientific program during which it hosted 130 female students from the Department of History and Heritage at the College of Arts – Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, at the mangrove beach on Darien and Tarut Island, as part of tourism initiatives And environmental sustainability.
Raising environmental and tourism awareness
The program aims to raise Municipality’s efforts in protecting the coastal environment and promoting the concept of sustainable tourism.
The program included a field tour to introduce mangrove trees and their environmental role, in addition to an awareness presentation on the municipality’s projects in the field of preserving beaches and developing eco-tourism on Darien and Tarut Island.
This visit comes within the framework of cooperation between the Qatif Municipality and the university to support field education and build effective community partnerships.
