Ahmed bin Hamdan crowns the winners of the Marine Sports Festival for People of Determination
Abu Dhabi, 14th November / WAM / Yesterday evening, the capital, Abu Dhabi, witnessed a distinguished sports day for people of determination, as Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, crowned the winners of the Marine Sports Festival for People of Determination, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club in cooperation with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination and the follow-up of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The festival included competitions in sailing and kayaking, and witnessed wide participation by athletes of determination who presented strong performances that reflected their high abilities and determination to excel, in a sporting and humanitarian experience that combined challenge and inspiration, and the number of participants exceeded 50 competitors.
The coronation ceremony was attended by Ahmed Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Club for People of Determination, Rashid Al Falahi, Director of Support Services at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, and Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy.
Khalifa Al Suwaidi stressed that organizing this festival reflects the great support that the UAE gives to people of determination, and its keenness to provide a comprehensive sports environment that allows them to showcase their skills and participate in various marine games, noting that these events contribute to enhancing societal integration and empowering sports talent in this dear group.
He pointed out that the festival comes within a series of initiatives aimed at supporting marine activities for people of determination, and providing specialized sports programs that contribute to developing their abilities and motivating them to be creative in marine sports.
For their part, the participants expressed their happiness at participating, stressing that these events are an important platform for honing their skills and enhancing their presence in the sports arena.
