Zamalek star Mohamed Sabry died in a tragic traffic accident

Mohamed Sabry, a former Zamalek club player and presenter on the White Club channel, died today, Friday, in a tragic traffic accident that occurred in the Fifth Settlement area in New Cairo, at the age of 51 years.
Security sources reported that the accident occurred while Sabri was driving his car on a side road. He suddenly lost control before the car swerved and collided directly with the wall of a building under construction, leading to his immediate death.
The late Mohamed Sabry, the former Zamalek club and Egyptian national team star, celebrated his 51st birthday last April, especially since he was born on April 7, 1974, in the city of Belbeis in Sharkia. His first match was with the first team under the leadership of the late Mahmoud El Gohary in 1994, and Sabry was able to score a missile goal against Ahmed Shoubir, Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper, and the match ended with Zamalek winning with two clean goals scored by the Nigerian player Emmanuel. Amuniki, and Sabry repeated the matter in the 98-99 season with a wonderful goal against Al-Hadary, Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper, until he was named the Gunners.
Sabry succeeded in winning 15 championships with the White Knight from 1993 to 2003, where he won the Egyptian League Championship twice, the Egyptian Cup twice, the African Champions League Championship three times, the Egyptian Super Cup three times, in addition to the Cup Winners’ Cup once, the African Super Cup three times, and the Afro-Asian Championship.
Sabry participated with a historic generation in Zamalek in the 1990s, most notably Ahmed Al-Kass, Ayman Mansour, Qasi Saeed, Affat Nassar, Khaled Al-Ghandour, Ismail Youssef, Hazem Emam, and Nader Al-Sayed.
Sabry left the ranks of Zamalek after 13 years inside the walls of Al-Abyad, to move to the ranks of Kazma Al-Kuwaiti on loan, then he played for Al-Ittihad of Alexandria before retiring from football.
