Ali Al Nuaimi receives the Indian Ambassador
ABU DHABI, 14th November, 2017 (WAM) – His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, received today His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal, the new Ambassador of the Republic of India to the country.
His Excellency welcomed the Indian Ambassador at the beginning of the meeting, wishing him success in his diplomatic missions, stressing the Council’s keenness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
His Excellency Dr. Al Nuaimi explained that the UAE-Indian relations are witnessing rapid and distinguished development at all levels, and are receiving great attention from the leadership and governments of the two countries, due to their common goals and convergent visions in supporting sustainable development opportunities in various vital sectors, for the benefit and prosperity of the two friendly countries and peoples.
His Excellency pointed out that parliamentary cooperation between the Federal National Council and the Indian Parliament is a model of effective parliamentary relations, stressing the Council’s keenness to support this cooperation in a way that enhances the established strategic partnership that brings together the UAE and the Republic of India in various fields.
He explained that parliamentary diplomacy has today become an important tributary to official diplomacy, because of its role in supporting common interests and opening new horizons for dialogue and communication between peoples.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Deepak Mittal expressed his pride in representing his country in the UAE, pointing to the leading position and distinguished regional and international reputation that the UAE enjoys, and the qualitative achievements it has achieved in various sectors.
He stressed that Indian-Emirati relations are one of the strongest strategic partnerships in the region, and that his country is keen to develop various paths of joint cooperation in a way that enhances growth and prosperity for the benefit of the two countries and their people.
