Cultural, community and entertainment events and musical evenings in Abu Dhabi during the blessed month

Abu Dhabi, 18th February / WAM / During the holy month of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi will witness a program full of exceptional experiences that reflect its hospitality, culture and living traditions, from iftar and suhoor offers to family and entertainment events, popular markets, and musical and artistic evenings that celebrate the holy month and the spirit of community participation.
Community members and visitors enjoy the attractions, shopping malls, theme parks, and picturesque beaches open throughout the day. As the sun sets, Abu Dhabi comes alive with Ramadan markets, cultural and artistic performances, and experiences of Emirati hospitality. The Abu Dhabi Corniche hosts the “Ramadan Lama” festival from February 27 to March 8, welcoming families and friends to share the most beautiful moments daily from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am.
The festival allows visitors to explore a Ramadan neighborhood that includes cultural and heritage performances, folk story-telling sessions, in addition to Ramadan markets, family activities, and various food and beverage options.
The “Lamat Ramadan” festival runs from February 20 to March 1 at ADNEC Al Ain Center, providing an inspiring experience that encourages communication and exploration, and combines authentic Emirati heritage, community atmosphere, and entertainment and family events.
Live performances and interactive children’s activities are complemented by markets, Ramadan food, and the most delicious Emirati and international culinary arts, daily from 8:00 pm until 2:00 am.
The “Lamat Ramadan” festival, from February 20 to March 1 at Madinat Zayed Park in the Al Dhafra region, offers a diverse program that celebrates culture and community spirit, as its visitors enjoy heritage performances, Ramadan markets, and food experiences in a festive atmosphere after sunset, from 8:00 pm until 2:00 am.
This event welcomes visitors from February 16 to March 18 at the Al Hosn site, to explore the cultural performances, traditional crafts workshops, storytelling sessions, and food and beverage shops in Al Hosn Square, to revive authentic Ramadan traditions and recall images of the past when the people of Abu Dhabi gathered at Al Hosn Palace to celebrate the holy month.
Every Friday during the holy month, Al Ain Oasis hosts the “Ramadan Harees” initiative, which celebrates the traditional Emirati favorite dish, which is included on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Among the paths shaded by palm trees, the initiative highlights the values of generosity, participation, and authentic Ramadan customs in the country. From February 25 to March 1, Manarat Al Saadiyat will also host the “Mirbid” exhibition, which is an experimental platform that combines shopping, culture and community spirit through distinctive seasonal events and markets that include a selection of local and international brands in the fields of fashion, jewelry, beauty, craft products and food.
From March 6 to 16, “Rawaq Ramadan” returns to “Manarat Al Saadiyat” with a program full of games and tournaments, interactive arts experiences, live performances, in addition to food, drinks and shopping.
During the month of Ramadan, Louvre Abu Dhabi offers a rich cultural experience that combines exhibitions, dialogues, and live performances, including the Ramadan evening “Voices of Fez” on March 1, and a dialogue on the epic Logic of the Bird on February 24, in addition to the “Picasso, Visualizing the Form” exhibition.
Visitors will also enjoy breakfast offers daily from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Museum Café, Art Lounge, and Tazo Restaurant, with the possibility of hosting suhoor gatherings for groups upon request.
During the period from February 27 to March 22, the “Canal” area constitutes a distinguished destination for iftar and suhoor in the open air, while enjoying entertainment events, games, family activities, and live shows.
The channel also hosts special events for children on weekends, including storytelling sessions and creative workshops.
Complex 421 will also host a series of creative sessions during the holy month, starting with “In Celebration of Poetry: Writers’ Suhoor” on February 26, followed by “Image Designers’ Suhoor” on March 5, then “With Pens: Suhoor Hour” and “Embroidery Circle: Suhoor Hour” on March 12.
The New York University Abu Dhabi Arts Center will host the “Ramadaniyat” event on March 3, with the participation of musicians Nissim Jalal and Hazem Shaheen, as part of an experience that reflects the spirit of Ramadan through music, storytelling, and cultural exchange.
The Al Jahili Popular Games Championships, which are held from March 4 to 8 at Al Jahili Castle, celebrate the authentic Emirati heritage through competitive competitions in one of the most prominent historical landmarks in the Al Ain region.
The “Ramadan Legacy” activities will be held from February 26 to March 19 in the Heritage Village, where visitors will explore the Ramadan Market, the Heritage Market, the Suhoor Square, popular games and competitions, workshops, and cultural and heritage performances that highlight customs and traditions passed down through generations.
Throughout the month of Ramadan, Al Maqta Museum will host special events, including “Our Stories on Maqta Nights” and the traditional iftar cannon. The event offers families and friends a range of activities, including cultural and entertainment shows and exciting games, in addition to food and beverage outlets and various stores.
Finally, during the period from March 1 to 30, library branches throughout Abu Dhabi celebrate “Reading Month” through family-friendly activities and programs that encourage reading and communication, and provide an opportunity to discover and gain knowledge in an inspiring atmosphere during the day or after breakfast.
