"Muslim sages" : The UAE is a leading global model in tolerance and human brotherhood

Abu Dhabi, November 14 / WAM / His Excellency Counselor Mohammed Abdul Salam, General Counsel of the Council of Muslim Elders, affirmed that the UAE represents a leading global model in establishing a culture of dialogue, tolerance and human brotherhood.

The Muslim Council of Elders is participating with a special pavilion in the activities of the seventh session of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence, organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, under the slogan “Hand in Hand,” in Umm Al Emarat Park during the period from 14 to 16 November.

His Excellency Counselor Muhammad Abdel Salam expressed the appreciation of the Council of Muslim Elders for the great efforts made by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, led by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, in spreading and promoting the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence, locally, regionally and globally.

He said that the seventh session of the National Tolerance Festival reflects the UAE’s keenness to mobilize efforts towards promoting the values ​​of dialogue and peace, noting that this festival has become a national and global platform that raises the value of coexistence and diversity, and provides an Emirati model to be followed in promoting societal harmony.

The General Counsel of the Council of Muslim Elders explained that the Council’s participation through a special pavilion comes within the framework of its keenness to enhance direct communication with the public, and to spread the values ​​of human brotherhood in innovative interactive methods that suit various groups, and in a manner consistent with the Council’s mission to build a more peaceful and understanding world, and to support joint efforts to establish a culture of peace, and to promote human coexistence initiatives in the region and the world.

The Muslim Council of Elders’ pavilion includes a range of diverse events and activities, including programs dedicated to children and youth, aiming to instill the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence in new generations and young people, in addition to introductory activities about the Council’s mission and its global initiatives in promoting human brotherhood and dialogue between followers of different religions and cultures.
