المملكة: The wife of the Crown Prince donates 10 million riyals to the Fund to Support Children with Diabetes


The wife of His Highness the Crown Prince, Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz, made a generous donation of ten million riyals to the Fund to Support Children with Type 1 Diabetes, which is implemented by the Health Endowment Fund, with the aim of enabling affected children to obtain the latest means of care and treatment, improving their quality of life and alleviating the suffering of their families. This generous donation comes as an extension of Her Highness’s humanitarian role in supporting health and charitable initiatives that concern the most needy groups.

His Excellency the Minister raised Health, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Endowment Fund, Mr. Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajel, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude, in his name and in the name of all the Fund’s employees, to Her Royal Highness Princess Sarah bint Mashhour bin Abdulaziz for her generous donation, praising Her Highness’s continuous giving and noble humanitarian initiatives that reflect the authentic values of Saudi society and the spirit of solidarity and giving that enjoys the support and care of the wise leadership.

He stressed that this generous support will make a tangible impact in Developing health services for children with diabetes, and representing an incentive to enhance community partnerships and enable health charitable work in line with the goals of the Health Endowment Fund in improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development in the health sector.

While the Health Endowment Fund explained that the initiative of Her Highness Princess Sarah bint Mashhour will contribute – God willing – to providing modern insulin pumps as one of the advanced therapeutic solutions that enable children with diabetes to practice their daily lives with confidence and safety, ensuring the improvement of their health condition and supporting their families in dealing with the requirements of Disease.

It is noteworthy that the Fund for Supporting Children with Type 1 Diabetes comes as an extension of the Fund’s efforts to support the most needy groups through specialized awareness, treatment and technical programs, and effective partnerships with the health and non-profit sector, which contributed to providing health services to more than 3,000 beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom through 26 associations and 26 specific projects. During the year 2024, the Fund recorded donations exceeding 72 million riyals, which reflects the confidence of society. In its role and the sustainability of its projects aimed at maximizing the health and humanitarian impact.
