Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, witnessed today, Friday, the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the “Urban Development Fund” And “Azza Fahmy Foundation for the Development of Crafts and Handicrafts” To establish an integrated cultural and training center for teaching handicrafts, in the “Milky Way” region, on the sidelines of the launch of the Fustat Winter Festival for the year 2025, which is hosted by the Fustat Hills Park. Madbouly said, “The memorandum of understanding signed today is an important step with the aim of establishing an open museum for handicrafts in historic Cairo, ensuring the sustainability of these crafts and their transfer to future generations. It also represents a model of integration between the state, civil society, and pioneers in the cultural field; This is to preserve the authentic Egyptian identity.
On the sidelines of the signing, Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund, indicated that the signed memorandum of understanding aims to establish a craft cultural center in the “Darb Al-Labbana” area.
