Autumn vacation begins first The remaining vacations in the academic calendar 1447-1448 AH, starting on November 21, 2025 and continuing until November 29, 2025, to give students and teachers a rest period before completing the semester requirements.
It is immediately followed by the second additional vacation, extending from December 11 to 14, 2025, which is one of the short vacations that balances the academic schedule and relieves pressure during the year.
School vacations
The beginning of the new year witnesses a The middle of the academic year which extends from January 9, 2026 until January 17, 2026, before the founding day falls on February 22, 2026, as an annual national holiday that reflects the depth of the history of the Saudi state.
As the month of March begins, the Eid al-Fitr holiday begins from March 6, 2026 until March 28, 2026, and it is one of the longest holidays during the academic year. The remaining holidays also include the Eid al-Adha holiday between May 22, 2026 and June 1, 2026.
The end-of-year vacation begins on June 25, 2026, officially concluding the work of the academic year 1447/1448 AH, while studies resume for the new year 1448-1449 AH on August 23, 2026.
The distribution of vacations during the year is balanced between academic semesters, which contributes to supporting Academic achievement and enhancing the psychological readiness of students. It also helps parents plan in advance for family activities and obligations.
The Ministry of Education confirms that any developments in the vacation schedule will be announced through approved official channels.
