"Global Council"Tolerance is necessary to ensure international peace and security and protect the future of generations

Abu Dhabi, November 16 / WAM / His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, stressed that the values of tolerance are not an additional option for countries and societies, but rather an urgent necessity to ensure international peace and security and protect the future of generations.
He said in a speech on the occasion of the International Day for Tolerance, which falls on November 16 of each year, that the world is witnessing mounting challenges today, which requires making tolerance, dialogue, and respect for cultural and religious diversity the basis of any civilizational and development project.
His Excellency added that tolerance is the bridge capable of saving the world from cycles of hatred and violence, and it is the first moral foundation for building a safer, more just and sustainable world.
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace indicated that the Council, through its International Parliament, General Assembly and various initiatives, continues to work with national parliaments, international organizations, educational institutions and civil society to strengthen legislation and policies that support a culture of understanding and acceptance of others.
He stressed that making the International Day for Tolerance a starting point for more effective initiatives in spreading the values of peace and coexistence is a collective responsibility, pointing out that consolidating a culture of tolerance begins with education, media, and social responsibility, and that investing in tolerance is a direct investment in the stability and prosperity of countries and the future of their generations.
