"Sharjah Chess" He participates in the Arab Championship in Kuwait

Sharjah, November 16 / WAM / The Sharjah Cultural Chess Club is participating in the Arab Championship, which begins tomorrow in Kuwait and continues until November 25, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent Arab players, male and female.
The tournament is of special importance this year as it grants the first-place winner the title of International Grand Master (GM), while the second- and third-place finishers receive the title of International Master (IM).
The delegation, headed by Imran Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, includes international coach Viorel Lourdo Cesco, along with four players: Salem Abdul Rahim and Hamad Essam, the Asian amateur blitz chess champion, Sultan Al Muhairi, the UAE U-12 champion, and Rashid Al Hammadi, “an international federation candidate,” the UAE U-16 champion and Arab U-14 runner-up.
Omran Abdullah Al Nuaimi said that the club’s participation in the tournament comes as part of our ongoing trend to participate in the most important regional competitions because these tournaments represent a high artistic value and an ideal opportunity for the club’s players to interact with an elite group of Arab champions in various categories, pointing out that the tournament this year carries a special importance in awarding it prestigious international titles, which makes the competition strong and doubles the motivation of our players to give their best.
He added that the club participates in three basic competitions: classic, fast, and lightning, and this diversity is consistent with the club’s plans to prepare a generation capable of competing in various styles of chess, developing their intellectual and intellectual abilities, and enhancing their presence on the international scene. He stressed the keenness, through this participation, to raise the international classification of players by confronting multiple chess schools, in addition to striving to achieve positive results that enhance the club’s position in Arab forums.
He said that these benefits represent an important part of the club and the council’s strategy to support national talent, empower promising players, and hone their skills in accordance with the best technical practices in a way that serves the UAE chess sport in the long term.
He expressed his great confidence in the players and coach Viorel to provide honorable participation and achieve qualitative results worthy of the name of the Sharjah Club and bring benefit and experience to all players.
