المملكة: In the languages ​​of the world… international students write messages of tolerance at King Abdulaziz University


King Abdulaziz University celebrated Values of coexistence and highlighting the Kingdom’s established efforts in consolidating the concepts of moderation.

The celebration witnessed a central lecture given by the General Supervisor of the University’s Intellectual Awareness Unit, Dr. Masoud Al-Qahtani, during which he explained that the Kingdom’s efforts in spreading tolerance and rejecting extremism are continuous efforts that stem from the teachings of the moderate religion and are based on Vision 2030.

The Kingdom’s efforts to spread the values of tolerance

Al-Qahtani reviewed the Kingdom’s mechanisms in This field, pointing to the development of school curricula to build a balanced personality, the development of national cadres that accept others, and the establishment of specialized institutions in Spreading tolerance, and encouraging community initiatives.

The lecture also highlighted the Kingdom’s international role, represented in establishing international partnerships, continuing to call for dialogue and peace, supporting humanitarian and relief efforts, and active participation in international alliances to combat terrorism and dry up its sources.

The most important student activities

At the level of student activities, the Arabic Language Institute organized a “Creative Writing” corner, where international students participated by writing quotes and visions about Tolerance in multiple languages, in an initiative that reflected cultural diversity and enhanced mutual understanding.

The Institute also launched a competition entitled “Promoting the Values of Tolerance and Coexistence,” which witnessed widespread interaction from various nationalities to motivate them to create content that reflects common human values.

In a related context, the Deanship of Student Affairs celebrated the occasion through a special meeting that brought together its Dean, Professor Dr. Fouad Abulban, with university housing students, to discuss aspects of tolerance and its importance in enhancing university life.

From For his part, the Dean of the Arabic Language Institute, Dr. Badr Al-Otaibi, stressed that the celebration is consistent with the university’s mission and the Kingdom’s pioneering role in establishing moderation locally and internationally, as well as enhancing the educational and cultural experience for international students.
