The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo receives Shakhbut Bin Nahyan

Kinshasa, 18 November / WAM / His Excellency Felix Tshisekedi, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, received His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, during a working visit by His Excellency to the capital, Kinshasa.
His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, to His Excellency, and their wishes for his country and its people for further progress and prosperity.
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Tshisekedi conveyed his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office, and his wishes for the leadership, government, and people of the UAE for further development and growth.
His Excellency welcomed the visit of His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan, and discussed with him ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and intensify joint work to achieve sustainable development goals for the benefit of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
They also discussed the latest developments in the regional situation, including the tragic developments in Sudan, and the two sides stressed the importance of the role of the Quartet, which includes the UAE, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United States of America, and its efforts to achieve a humanitarian truce.
The two sides also condemned all violations against civilians and humanitarian workers, and in this context they called for an immediate ceasefire, ensuring unimpeded access to humanitarian aid, protecting civilians, and holding perpetrators of crimes accountable.
