US stocks open lower as prospects for a rate cut recede

US stocks on the Wall Street Stock Exchange today, as sentiment was affected by fears that stock valuations are overstated and the possibility of a Interest rates from the Federal Reserve.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by (207.3) points, equivalent to (0.44%), to reach (46,382.92) points, and the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index fell by (0.47%), equivalent to (31.2) points, to reach (6,641.19) points.

The index lost (Nasdaq) consolidated by (142.2) points, or (0.63%), to reach (22,565.905) points.
