Ma’aden’s profits jump 156% to 7.3 billion riyals in 2025


Profits of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company jumped "Minerals" In 2025, by 156% to 7.3 billion riyals, compared to 2.8 billion riyals in 2024.

According to a statement by Maaden Company on the website "Saudi Arabia trading"Net profit increased during the current year by 4,476 billion riyals (156%) compared to the previous year, as a result of an increase in gross profit by 5,548 billion riyals (60%).

This is due to the rise in selling prices and the increase in sales volume. Profitability was also enhanced by an increase in the share of net profit of joint ventures and associates, including a one-time purchase transaction gain of 768 million riyals resulting from Ma’aden’s investment in Bahrain Aluminium, in addition to a decrease in financing costs.

This increase in net profit was partially offset by higher operating expenses, which include a one-time expected credit loss provision of 381 million riyals related to Ma’aden’s operations in Africa.

Net profit was also affected by an increase in net expense. Zakat, income taxes and royalty fees.

The increase in royalty fees is mainly due to improved profitability in the gold business unit, driven by higher gold prices, in addition to a one-time deferred royalty expense of SAR 624 million related to the aluminum business unit.

Moreover, net profit was affected by a decrease in financing income during the year and by the positive impact of a one-time insurance claim of SAR 563 million during the previous year.
