The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Third United Nations Committee on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs of the General Assembly has adopted its annual resolution reaffirming the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination; Including his right to independence, to return and to live in his homeland freely, an inalienable right, not subject to any conditions, restrictions or bargains, and cannot be negotiated under any circumstances.

 

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement today, according to the Palestinian News Agency “Wafa”, welcomed the committee’s adoption of its annual decision, noting that this decision comes in full harmony with the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice regarding the illegality of The Israeli occupation and the necessity of ending it immediately and without any delay, as it is the greatest obstacle to the ability of the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and embody their independent state on their land.

She explained that the importance of this decision is growing at this particular stage, in light of the crimes committed by the occupation of forced displacement, annexation of land, expansion of settlement, and the deepening of its illegal control over the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, and at a time when it is being subjected to In which the Gaza Strip is besieged for crimes of genocide and mass destruction, this international vote constitutes a clear rejection of these policies, and an affirmation of the necessity of adhering to international law and international justice without double standards or politicization, stressing that the adoption of this resolution constitutes an additional pillar that strengthens the ongoing Palestinian diplomatic effort to protect national rights, strengthen international consensus around them, and confront attempts to undermine them.

The Foreign Ministry stressed the need to build on this momentum by continuing to work with member states to ensure the establishment of a moratorium. The war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, the continuation of the effective entry and distribution of humanitarian aid, and the continuation of reconstruction efforts and the restoration of normal life in accordance with international law.

It expressed its deep appreciation for the countries that voted in favor of the resolution, and called on them to translate this support into practical steps that enable the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and end the Israeli occupation, according to what was stated in the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirmed the illegality of the occupation and the necessity of ending it immediately and without Delay, as it is the only way to achieve security, peace and stability in the Middle East.
