The Governor of Giza follows up on the activities of the Handicrafts Exhibition

The Governor: The exhibition represents an important opportunity to enable craftsmen and small business owners to display their products to the public

 

Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, followed the results of the activities of the handicrafts exhibition, which was held in cooperation between the governorate and the Ayad Misr platform at October 6 University, and whose activities began on Sunday, November 16, and will continue until Thursday, November 20.

The governor indicated that organizing the exhibition comes within the framework of the governorate’s keenness Giza aims to support the handicrafts sector, especially youth and women, as many of the governorate’s villages have craft skills of a distinctive heritage and cultural nature.

The governor added that the exhibition represents an important opportunity to enable craftsmen and small business owners to display their products to the public, and to move forward towards making the most of this sector in promoting tourist destinations and attracting investments, which contributes to supporting the national economy and improving job opportunities.

The governor confirmed that the exhibition is witnessing a wide participation of exhibitors, amounting to 20 people. An exhibitor, including 4 exhibitors of people of determination, who present high-quality works and products that are greatly admired and welcomed by visitors to the exhibition, noting that supporting the participation of people of determination comes within the framework of the state’s drive to integrate them and empower them economically.

Engineer Adel Al-Najjar explained that Giza Governorate continues to provide supportive platforms for artisans, and open new markets for their products in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and all concerned parties, stressing that the governorate is working to enhance integration with national initiatives interested in crafts. Handmade, which contributes to preserving the authentic Egyptian heritage and creating sustainable job opportunities.

Giza Governorate invites citizens to visit the exhibition and benefit from price offers on the products offered, which include: carpets and handicrafts, natural leather products, precious stones, accessories, crochet, macramé, decoupage, natural skin and hair care products, kerdasa abayas, pottery, artistic paintings, resin pieces, and imigurumi.
