At the headquarters of the Drug Authority: The Higher Education Pharmacy Sector Committee follows up on academic and administrative files in colleges of pharmacy

Today, the Egyptian Medicine Authority hosted the periodic meeting of the Pharmaceutical Studies Sector Committee of the Ministry of Higher Education, at the Mansouriya headquarters, as part of following up on a number of academic and administrative files related to the work of colleges of pharmacy in Egyptian universities.
The committee reviewed a group of topics related to the equivalence of academic degrees, the approval of study programs, and the universities’ fulfillment of the required observations, in addition to discussing the requests and grievances submitted during the last period.
Dr. Ali began. Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, greeted the meeting by welcoming the attendees, saying: “I am pleased to be in your presence today at the headquarters of the Egyptian Medicine Authority in Mansourieh, which is one of the Authority’s main headquarters. My presence among an elite group of deans and professors of faculties of pharmacy represents a source of pride and pride.”
The head of the Authority indicated that the Medicine Authority has, in addition to its headquarters in Cairo, sub-headquarters in 27 governorates, and the headquarters of Mansourieh is considered – It is located on an area of approximately 22 acres – The largest and most important, as it includes a large percentage of the authority’s central departments and laboratories, in addition to the ongoing expansion and construction work.
The authority also has headquarters in Agouza, Manial, and Maadi, each of which has a pivotal role in the supervisory organization process, in addition to the administrative headquarters in the new capital, which comes within the framework of the institutional presence in this vital location.
Al-Ghamrawi added: “Your presence today reflects an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the academic side and the applied side; Meeting at the authority’s headquarters today consolidates scientific knowledge, and we are working to apply it to protect the medicine market and improve the health of the Egyptian citizen.”
Al-Ghamrawi also stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the authority and colleges of pharmacy in order to achieve integration between science and practical practice.
The committee meeting was headed by Dr. Abdel Nasser Sinjab, Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Shafi’i, Secretary of the Sector Committee, in the presence of Dr. Yousry Nawar, member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry, and Dr. Mohi Hafez, member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry and Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Export Council, Douglas Rainey, professor and retired head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at South Dakota State University, and Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission, and the rest of the members, including professors of colleges of pharmacy from various Egyptian universities, deans of colleges of pharmacy at public universities, and some deans of private and private colleges of pharmacy, presented a number of topics referred by the Supreme Council of Private Universities to public universities, in addition to the reports of the relevant subcommittees.
The book of Dr. Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities regarding the obtaining of 15 bachelor’s degree programs in pharmacy in a number of Egyptian universities was also reviewed. International accreditation from the American Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), with consideration of the possibility of generalizing this experience to some other pharmaceutical specialties.
The committee also discussed a number of topics related to private and private universities, including: Delta for Science and Technology, Derayah, Misr International, Badr in Cairo, Badr in Assiut, King Salman International, Lotus, Mansoura National, Innovation, Heliopolis, Horus, and Alamein International.
In addition, the committees’ reports were presented. Sub-universities: Al-Ahram Canada, Egyptian-Russian, Al-Reyadah for Science and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Al-Mustaqbal, Delta, as well as the Military Medical Academy.
