Drydocks World launches a project to build its smart headquarters

Dubai, November 20 / WAM / Drydocks World has begun construction work on its new headquarters complex in Dubai. The facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, bringing together its operations in one location, enhancing cooperation between its multiple departments, and reflecting Drydocks World’s commitment to innovation, safety and sustainability.

According to a press release issued today, the modern 44,779 square meter facility, built on a 13,390 square meter plot of land near the existing shipyard, will bring together approximately 700 employees under one roof to enhance communication, coordination and operational efficiency.

Its location directly adjacent to the manufacturing areas, and close to the basin, facilitates access for visitors and dealers, allowing meetings to be held without passing through the industrial areas.

It is part of a broader transformation in the DP World Group that aims to provide a next-generation work environment. By combining smart design, advanced technology and sustainable systems, we are building spaces that reflect our ambition to shape the future of work, trade and the maritime sector.”

The new headquarters is designed to obtain “LEED Gold Certification” and will include smart technologies, energy-efficient ventilation and air conditioning systems, and advanced infrastructure compatible with safety requirements. It will also include advanced access control, monitoring and fire protection systems that meet the highest international standards.

The project includes a multi-storey car park with a capacity of approximately 500 spaces, including 50 charging ports designated for electric vehicles, which supports DP World’s global roadmap to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
