The “Mecca Road” Initiative aims to provide high-quality services to the guests of God from the countries that benefit from it to the Kingdom. This includes receiving them and completing their procedures in their countries with ease and ease, starting with issuing the Hajj visa electronically and taking vital information, passing through the tasks of the General Directorate of Passports to complete entry procedures into the Kingdom from the airport of the country of departure after verifying the availability of health requirements. In addition, coding and sorting the luggage according to the transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom, and moving directly to the buses to take them to their residences in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Medina, With designated paths, while partner agencies deliver their luggage to them. The Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative in its eighth year in cooperation with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, Information, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). The General Authority of Endowments and the Guests of God Service Program also cooperate with it. And the General Directorate of Passports, in integration with the digital partner (stc group). Since its launch in (1438 AH/2017 AD), the initiative has witnessed (1,254,994) pilgrims being served.
