We will work to return the team to its normal position in all tournaments

The coach of the Sharjah team, Abdul Majeed Al-Nimr, confirmed that he promises the “King” fans to work to return the team to its normal position in various tournaments, indicating that the team is currently going through a not good phase in terms of results in most competitions. He stressed that he will pay great attention to the psychological and technical aspects during the coming period.

Al-Nimr explained, during the introductory press conference for the Baniyas match, which was held at the club’s headquarters, that the team is well prepared for the confrontation expected tomorrow, Friday, in the eighth round of the ADNOC Professional League, describing the match as important as it comes after a long hiatus at the league level. He stressed that the team is still far from the top teams, but it seeks to achieve the best possible position with improved results.

He added: “Sharjah has excellent players in all positions, and we also have high-level substitutes. During the coming period, we will work to implement a playing style that suits the players’ capabilities.”

Al-Nimr, who recently took over the leadership of the team, succeeding Serbian coach Milos after his contract was terminated by mutual consent, indicated that the match schedule will be compressed in the coming period, stressing that he will work to distribute the effort among the players to avoid fatigue and injuries.

He continued: “I thank the president and members of the Sharjah Club for this trust, and I hope to live up to the ambition.”

Al-Nimr confirmed that he is currently focusing on the Baniyas match, before moving on to talk about the rest of the competitions, indicating that the team still has a chance in the AFC Champions League for elite clubs, and that he will work to prepare the players for the upcoming matches, including the return match against Al Ain in the quarter-finals of the Professional League Cup “Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup” in an effort to qualify for the next round.
