Voter queues adorn the Egyptian Embassy headquarters in"Oman" With the start of the second phase of parliamentary elections

This morning, the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy in the Jordanian capital, Amman, witnessed a remarkable turnout from members of the Egyptian community, as voters flocked from the first hours of the opening of the polls to cast their votes on the first day of the second phase of the House of Representatives elections.

 

 

 
 
 
 

 

The second phase of the House of Representatives elections will be held abroad over the course of Friday and Saturday, corresponding to the 21st and 22nd of November, inside 139 Egyptian embassies and consulates in 117 countries, while voting at home will begin on the 24th and 25th of this November, with the official result announced on December 2nd, and in the event of a runoff round being needed, voting will take place abroad on the 15th. And the 16th of next December, and internally on the 17th and 18th of the same month, with the result of the run-off round being announced on the 25th of next December.

 

The committees supervising the polling, counting, and counting of votes shall be formed from a sufficient number of members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and they shall be assisted by one or more principal secretaries working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who shall be subject to a decision from the National Elections Authority.

Voting abroad begins at nine o’clock. In the morning, until nine o’clock in the evening, according to the time of the country in which the voting is taking place, as indicated in the decision of the National Elections Authority regarding the procedural and timetable for the House of Representatives elections, provided that it includes an hour of rest determined by the Chairman of the Committee, without prejudice to ensuring the proper conduct of the electoral process. If, upon the expiration of the deadline, voters in the Election Assembly are found to have not cast their votes, the Chairman of the Committee shall prepare a list of their names, and the election process shall continue until the completion of expressing their opinions.
