Health: Approval of 4 new primary care units with comprehensive health insurance

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the accreditation of 4 new primary care units from the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control (GAHAR), bringing the total number of accredited facilities outside comprehensive health insurance governorates to 120 facilities, within the framework of raising the quality of health services and qualifying facilities to implement the comprehensive health insurance system nationwide.

 

 

Dr. Hossam confirmed Abdul Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry, said that primary care represents the cornerstone for achieving comprehensive health coverage, noting that accreditation ensures that facilities adhere to the highest standards of quality and patient safety.

 

Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, said that the Ministry pays great attention to training workers in primary care units to keep pace with the requirements of the new system, stressing that this achievement enhances citizens’ confidence and supports health development goals.

 

Dr. Rasha Khader, Head of the Basic Care and Family Development Sector, explained that the four newly approved units are:

 

Al-Wadi Family Medicine Unit (Giza)

 

Al-Kadaiya Family Medicine Unit (Giza)

 

  Kafr Al-Sawalmiya Family (Menoufia)

 

 Family Medicine Unit of the Tenth Region (Menoufia)

 

She indicated that the “GAHAR” standards It increases the efficiency of clinical and administrative performance, improves the work environment, and ensures the provision of health services that focus on the patient’s needs and rights.
