The Ministry of Labor intensifies inspection campaigns to follow up on the implementation of the new labor law

In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran, to intensify field inspection campaigns to follow up on compliance with the provisions of the new Labor Law No. (14) of 2025, the Central Inspection Committee announced – Under the direct supervision of the Minister – The results of its work during five days from Sunday to last Thursday, in coordination with the labor directorates in the governorates.

 

 

The committee explained that 1,273 establishments were inspected across the republic, and the campaigns resulted in granting a deadline to 727 establishments to reconcile their conditions and correct employment contracts, in addition to issuing 439 reports for establishments not committed to applying the minimum wage. In addition to issuing 136 reports of violations related to employing foreigners without obtaining the necessary work permits.

 

 

The committee confirmed that these efforts come within the Ministry of Labor’s plan aimed at ensuring the actual implementation of the provisions of the new law, consolidating the principles of justice in labor relations, and preserving the rights of workers and employers alike.

 

Minister Mohamed Gibran pointed out that The Ministry continues to implement expanded inspection campaigns in all governorates, to follow up on compliance with minimum wage decisions, control labor market conditions, and promote a stable and safe work environment that supports production and investment.

 

The Minister added that the Ministry also continues to organize seminars and introductory meetings on the provisions of the new labor law, to ensure that all obligations of the law reach employers and workers, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to consolidate the foundations of decent work in various sectors.
