Humaid bin Ammar launches a program to develop the capabilities of government media cadres in Ajman

Ajman, November 24 / WAM / Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, launched the “Media Competencies” programme, which aims to develop the capabilities of media cadres in government and semi-government agencies in the emirate, and enable them to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the modern communication sector.

Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar stressed that building media capabilities is an essential pillar in supporting the progress of the Ajman government and consolidating its national presence, pointing out that modern media has become a partner in conveying institutions’ messages clearly and professionally.

He added: “In Ajman, we are keen to establish an integrated media system that possesses knowledge, skill and readiness, and is able to keep pace with the rapid developments in communication locally and internationally. This program embodies the leadership’s vision of investing in people and preparing national cadres capable of representing the emirate efficiently and competently through media platforms.”

Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar said: “Through the program, we look forward to empowering media professionals, official spokespeople and institutional communication teams with the skills of formulating influential messages, managing strategic positions, and dealing professionally with traditional and digital media, in a way that enhances Ajman’s presence and keeps pace with its aspirations.”

The Ajman Government Media Office reviewed, before Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar Al Nuaimi, the details of the program, its training axes, and its components, which will be implemented during the next stage.

For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Media Office, said that the launch of the program aims to enhance the capabilities of the media and institutional communication departments of governmental and semi-governmental agencies, and to support official spokesmen and media leaders with advanced skills, in accordance with best international practices.

He added that the program targets employees from 25 governmental and semi-governmental entities, and covers various leadership, supervisory and executive levels.

He continued: In its first session, the program includes more than 10 specialized training programs provided by regional and international media institutions and academies, covering a wide range of modern media skills, including the role of artificial intelligence in the media industry, strategic communication, media planning, institutional reputation management, creative content creation and digital editing, in addition to media crisis management skills.

The program also allocates training courses on media and government communication policies, with the aim of enhancing the culture of institutional communication and raising awareness of the vital role of the media in supporting the government’s initiatives and future plans.

The program organizes training courses on unified speech, managing press conferences, and dealing with international media, to ensure the delivery of accurate and clear messages when communicating with the public.

The launch of the program confirms the Ajman government’s keenness to invest in human capital and enhance the emirate’s presence in the media scene through advanced cognitive tools that keep pace with digital transformations and artificial intelligence, and consolidate the media identity of Ajman locally and internationally.
