A symposium in Abu Dhabi reviews the elements of family stability and building generations

Abu Dhabi, February 26 / WAM / The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Councils in the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs in the Presidential Office, organized a symposium entitled “A Reassured Family” at the Zaid Al Shehhi Hilal Majlis in Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi.
The symposium comes within a series of Ramadan events and the “Symposiums and evenings, our home is one” initiative, coinciding with the “Year of the Family”, with the aim of sensing the status of the family as a basic pillar for building society and a safety valve for its stability, and highlighting the efforts of the UAE in supporting the stability of families based on the National Agenda for Family Growth 2031.
The symposium, which was moderated by journalist Hilal Khalifa from the Holy Quran Radio in Abu Dhabi, witnessed the participation of Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Amin, a scholar and guest of His Highness the President, “may God protect him,” and Dr. Turki Al-Qahtani, a family mentor in the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department.
The session covered main topics that focused on enhancing affection, consolidating the culture of forming a large family, and building an environment supportive of sound upbringing, in addition to reviewing the impact of marital ties on family cohesion and enhancing community awareness.
During his intervention, Dr. Abdul Rahim Al-Amin explained the importance of transforming affection and compassion from a Qur’anic value into a daily practice that preserves family stability, stressing that this stability begins with positive dialogue, understanding, and assuming shared responsibility between spouses.
Dr. Turki Al-Qahtani stressed the necessity of creating a supportive family environment to build a balanced generation religiously, psychologically and socially, possessing sufficient awareness to understand the changes in life and developments of the times, and contribute positively to the advancement of its country and society.
