Ajman Municipality reviews with partners a plan to provide security and safety standards for students

Ajman, February 26 / WAM / The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department organized a coordination meeting with the relevant partners in the Al Hamidiya School Complex, to discuss ways to facilitate access to schools, maintain the flow of traffic, and provide the highest standards of security and safety for students, parents and educational bodies.

The meeting comes in line with the directions of Ajman Vision 2030 to build an integrated and sustainable transportation system, and in line with the strategic objectives of the department aimed at improving the quality and connectivity of the road network in the emirate, in a way that enhances the efficiency of the infrastructure and raises the level of traffic safety and quality of life for residents.

The meeting, which was organized by the department in the presence of Dr. Engineer Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Department’s Infrastructure Development Sector, and Engineer Abdullah Mustafa Al Marzouqi, Director of the Roads and Infrastructure Department, witnessed the participation of representatives from the Ajman Police General Command, the Special Education Affairs Coordination Office – Ajman, and the Ajman Transport Authority, along with representatives of private schools in the region, where the current traffic situation in the vicinity of the school complex was reviewed, and proposals from all parties were presented and discussed to ensure the achievement of the goals. desired.

Dr. Al Muhairi stressed that the development of roads in the school complex in the Al Hamidiya area falls within a comprehensive development plan to improve traffic movement in the school complex in the Al Hamidiya area, which contributes to facilitating access and enhancing traffic safety, by applying thoughtful engineering and organizational solutions that respond to the needs of the region and keep pace with traffic density during school peak times.

He said that the department aims to enhance integration with strategic partners, and work in a team spirit to find practical and sustainable solutions that contribute to raising the efficiency of the road network and improving the experience of its users, especially in vital areas that witness high traffic density.

He pointed out that the safety of students is a top priority, and that any development interventions will be implemented in accordance with the best practices and approved engineering standards, in order to achieve the highest levels of safety and streamlines, and enhance the sustainability of the transportation system in the emirate.

For his part, Engineer Abdullah Mustafa Al Marzouqi explained that the technical teams studied the field challenges in the vicinity of the school complex, including congestion points, pedestrian crossing sites, and school bus routes, stressing that a set of organizational and engineering solutions and proposals had been put forward in coordination with the concerned authorities.
