The Minister of Health meets with a delegation from the Union of Turkish Chambers to discuss health cooperation and joint investment

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, met with a high-level delegation from the Union of Turkish Chambers and Stock Exchanges (TOBB), which includes senior businessmen and investors in the Turkish health sector, in the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Medicines Authority, and Dr. Hisham Setit, Chairman of the Egyptian Unified Purchasing Authority, on the sidelines of the 11th World Medical Conference in Turkey (November 24-26). 2025).
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the meeting dealt with enhancing cooperation and attracting investments in the areas of developing health infrastructure, integrating smart technologies and digital health, strengthening partnership between the public and private sectors, and establishing smart hospitals, mobile units, and “telemedicine” centers.
He added that the areas of cooperation The proposal included technology transfer and localization of the pharmaceutical industry (especially oncology drugs and biosimilars), vaccines and medical devices, training medical personnel in robotic surgery, oncology and critical care, establishing joint research laboratories and developing the pharmaceutical industry with global standards, in addition to benefiting from artificial intelligence in diagnosis and hospital management.
Abdul Ghaffar pointed out: The Minister emphasized that Egypt represents a promising regional market, while the Turkish side expressed its keenness to deepen the partnership and transfer its manufacturing and technological expertise within the Egyptian health system.
