Aramco ranks among the 100 most powerful global energy companies for 2025
Saudi Aramco maintained its top spot on the list of the 100 most powerful companies in the The top tencompanies will account for more than a third of the world’s total oil and gas production in 2024, with the composition of the group that includes three global oil giants and seven national companies remaining stable.
The list of the top ten companies in this year’s ranking included all of:
- Saudi Aramco
- National Iranian Oil Company
- China National Petroleum Corporation
- Exxon Mobil
- Rosneft
- Petroleos de Venezuela
- Gazprom
- Chevron
- Shell
- ADNOC
This classification is the only system that compares private sector companies and national oil companies, and is based on six main criteria: oil reserves, natural gas reserves, oil production, natural gas production, refining capacity, and refined product sales.
Ratings are calculated annually based on data from the previous year, including companies that report late in the year.
