"Axios": Trump is ready to speak directly with the Venezuelan president

US administration officials revealed to Axios that US President Donald Trump informed his advisors that he intends to speak directly with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, even though the United States classified him, yesterday, Monday, as the head of a terrorist organization.

Officials believe that Trump’s decision is an important achievement in his military diplomacy directed against Venezuela, and may be an indication that US missile strikes or military action will take place. A direct American on the ground is not imminent.

Officials told Axios: “No one is planning to shoot or kidnap him at this stage. “This is not the plan at the moment.” They added: “In the meantime, we will blow up drug shipping boats… We will stop their smuggling.”

The officials indicated that a date has not yet been set for Trump and Maduro’s call, which is still “in the planning stages,” and that it is not possible to predict what Trump will say to Maduro or how he will say it? The saying “All options are on the table” Applies to the matter.

These statements about Trump’s intention to talk to Maduro coincide with the US State Department’s decision, yesterday, to designate the Cartel de los Solis (Sun Cartel) in Venezuela as a foreign terrorist organization, and it claims that Maduro is running the cartel, which provides the United States with a greater pretext to launch military action in and around the South American country.
