The 2nd Emirati-Lithuanian Business Forum discusses investment promotion and business expansion

Vilnius, November 25 / WAM / The Second UAE-Lithuanian Business Forum, which was held yesterday in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, discussed opportunities to enhance trade and investment relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Lithuania, and work to expand the joint business base, in addition to exchanging expertise and experiences between the two sides.

The forum was organized by the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, with broad participation of representatives of the government and private sectors from both countries, with the aim of supporting business partnerships and developing new paths of economic cooperation.

His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice President of the Federation of Emirates Chambers, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Chairman of the Emirati side in the Emirati-Lithuanian Business Council, confirmed that holding the forum and the second joint business council meeting in Vilnius reflects the keenness of both sides to enhance communication between the business community, discuss promising investment opportunities, and work to increase the volume of trade exchange between the Emirates and Lithuania.

His Excellency explained that the forum constitutes an important platform for establishing new trade relations between Emirati business owners and their Lithuanian counterparts, and developing areas of cooperation in vital and diverse industries, which contributes to supporting economic growth in the two countries.

For his part, His Excellency Sigitas Gailiunas, President of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, said that the forum witnessed the participation of more than 30 Lithuanian companies operating in sectors including furniture, real estate, tourism and others, stressing that the next stage will witness a greater focus on investment in technology and clean energy technologies as one of the most prominent areas of future cooperation.

The forum witnessed bilateral meetings between Emirati business owners and their Lithuanian counterparts, in addition to a series of presentations and discussions that reviewed the promising investment opportunities and the great potential to enhance partnerships between the private sectors in the two countries.
