President Sisi receives the Prime Minister of the Algerian Republic

For his part, the Algerian Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of President Tebboune to the President, stressing the great appreciation in which he The President met with President Tebboune, and Algeria was keen to continue working with Egypt to build on what was agreed upon between the two presidents during the Algerian president’s visit to Egypt in October 2024, in a way that enhances bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The Algerian Prime Minister also congratulated Egypt on the occasion of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and on the election of Dr. Khaled El-Anani as Director-General of UNESCO.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, indicated that the meeting reflected A common consensus on the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, including agriculture, industry, education, energy, communications and information technology, in addition to intensifying political consultation and coordination on issues of common interest, whether at the bilateral level or within the framework of regional and international organizations and institutions.
In this context, The President held the ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee in Cairo, stressing the need to build on its results in a way that contributes to advancing the pace of economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting also discussed the prospects for maximizing cooperation in the fields of development, infrastructure and the establishment of new cities and urban communities, as well as discussing opportunities available to increase mutual investments and strengthen economic ties, including encouraging Egyptian companies to expand the scope of their business in Algeria.
The official spokesman confirmed that the meeting also touched on the latest developments in the regional situation, as he stressed The President: Egypt will continue its efforts with all parties to implement the agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, as was recently adopted in the relevant resolution issued by the Security Council, and to stabilize the ceasefire in the Strip, and push to avoid and stop any violations of the agreement, and enhance the flow of humanitarian aid, in addition to preparing for the reconstruction process in the Strip, noting To Egypt’s intention to host an international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
The need to stop the practices committed against Palestinians in the West Bank was also stressed. In this context, The President expressed his appreciation for the positive role played by Algeria during its non-permanent membership in the Security Council in defense of Arab issues, especially the Palestinian issue, praising Algeria’s historical position in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. of dire repercussions, with an emphasis on respecting the sovereignty of states, the unity and integrity of their territories, and the capabilities of their people, and taking all necessary steps to protect civilians and stop any violations against them.
