Strengthening supply chains.. The Minister of Industry discusses enhancing cooperation with 6 countries


Contract Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts in a number of brotherly and friendly countries, discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the industry and mining sectors, on the sidelines of the twenty-first general conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held in the capital, Riyadh.

Minister Al-Khorayef’s meetings included a meeting with the Minister of In Palestine, Arafat Asfour, the Minister of Industry and Minerals in Iraq, Khaled Battal Najm, the Minister of Industry and Trade in Morocco, Riad Mazour, and the Minister of Energy, Petroleum and Mines in Algeria, Mohamed Arkab, in addition to the Minister of Industry and Modern Technology in Tajikistan, Sher Ali Kabir, and the Minister of Industry and Construction in Kazakhstan, Yersayn Naqsbayev.

Economic Relations

The meetings discussed strengthening strategic economic relations between the Kingdom and those countries, And supporting industrial integration paths with Arab countries, and ways to develop joint cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors.

It also discussed exploring and identifying joint investment opportunities in a number of promising industrial and mining fields, including manufacturing industries, developing industrial cities, strengthening industrial supply chains, and advanced manufacturing applications, in addition to mineral extraction and processing, and geological survey programs.

International Mining Conference

The meetings noted the importance of enhancing trade exchange and facilitating the arrival of exports between the Kingdom and those countries. countries, and to enhance industrial and mining cooperation through joint economic committees.

The Minister also called for Ministers to participate in the fifth edition of the International Mining Conference, which Riyadh will host next January.
