The UAE participates in the fourth round of the World Speedboat World Cup "Formula 1" In Jeddah

Dubai, November 25 / WAM / UAE boats will participate in the fourth round of the Formula 1 World Powerboat Championship, scheduled in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from November 27 to 29.

The Victory team won in the third round last month in the Chinese city of Zhenzhou, strengthening its lead in the overall team standings, scoring 125 points, followed by the Sharjah team with 95 points, the Sweden team third with 82 points, and the Abu Dhabi team fourth with 50 points.

Alec Wickstrom’s victory on board the “Victory 3” boat increased his lead in the overall standings with 66 points, followed by his colleague Sean Torronti on the “Victory 4” boat, with 59 points, and thirdly, Rusty White from the Sharjah team, with 58 points.

Ahmed Al Sumaiti, Director of Sports Teams Management at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, stressed the importance of participating after excelling in the last round, to maintain the lead and compete for the title.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club announced that the roster of the Abu Dhabi Boat Team includes Eric Stark on board Boat No. 6, and Mansour Al Mansouri on board Boat No. 5, while the delegation is headed by Nasser Al Dhaheri, Director of Modern Sports Activities at the club.

He explained that the team is entering the round to strengthen its position in the overall standings of the tournament, with Eric Stark in an advanced position with 39 points after the past three rounds, and Mansour Al Mansouri’s aspirations to add new points to the competition for the teams’ title.

Thani Al Qamzi, Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports Team at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, confirmed that participation comes within the strategy of global competitions until the final round, and maintaining achievements.

For its part, the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club revealed its participation in the fourth round with boats Nos. 17 and 18 via the two champions, Rusty White and Stefan Arand, with great aspirations aimed at competing for the first places, and defending its chances of reaching the podium after the distinguished march in the previous rounds.

He pointed out the readiness of his heroes to take on the new challenge, after extensive preparations, keeping pace with the club’s global standing in winning international titles in Formula 1 boat races.
