The Future Ready Mark was awarded to Strata Manufacturing during the visit of Her Excellency Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, to the company’s headquarters in Al Ain, where she met Ismail Ali Abdullah, Managing Director of Strata Manufacturing, and Sarah Al Mamari, Acting CEO of Strata Manufacturing, and learned about its distinguished capabilities in the fields of advanced manufacturing enhanced by advanced technology.
Strata has gained the world’s trust with its high-quality aircraft structure components produced at the best international standards, and has made it part of the aviation sector’s chain of activities around the world, manufacturing components for the modern generation of aircraft structures made of composite and advanced materials. The total production has reached more than 100,000 pieces of aircraft structure components that have been exported from the UAE to the world within exclusive production lines for major international airlines.
Her Excellency Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, confirmed that the UAE’s leadership is focusing its future visions on enhancing the readiness of all sectors for the future, by strengthening them with advanced technology.
She said that Strata Manufacturing Company’s obtaining the Future Readiness Mark reflects the UAE’s advanced capabilities in preparing the advanced aerospace industries sector for the future, which the company has been able to develop and make qualitative global shifts in its fields of work over more than 15 years since its launch.
She praised the company’s distinguished national model in nurturing young Emirati talents in general, and Emirati women in particular, and developing their capabilities and empowering them in the advanced manufacturing sector. She praised Strata’s confidence and advanced capabilities that contribute to strengthening the UAE’s leadership in the global aviation industry, which is one of the most advanced industries.
Ismail Ali Abdullah, Managing Director of Strata Manufacturing Company, said that Strata’s obtaining the Future Readiness Mark comes as a culmination of a unique and continuous work and construction process that has been ongoing for more than a decade and a half, and whose stations have been and still are rich in development initiatives directed at human resources and manufacturing capabilities side by side, which has qualified Strata to become a prestigious national brand in the field of advanced manufacturing and a globally competitive and influential company in the manufacture of aircraft body parts in particular.

“Strata” was designed as an innovative industrial model in the city of Al Ain, with a strategic investment vision that reflects the directives and aspirations of the wise leadership for the UAE to become a global destination in the aviation industry. The company’s experience represents a global model in creating the future trends of the manufacturing sector, as it has succeeded in integrating the technologies of the Industrial Internet of Things, 3D printing, and cloud computing in aviation, in its various manufacturing operations, which contributes to an expected reduction in supply chain costs by up to 20% by 2030, and is reflected in This positively increases production flexibility, reduces dependence on global suppliers, and enhances the diversity of logistical options.
In a partnership that is the first of its kind, Strata Manufacturing signed, within the activities of the Dubai Airshow 2025, an agreement with Airbus, according to which Strata will manufacture winglets for the single-aisle Airbus A320 aircraft, including all production series of this aircraft of various models. The new contract constitutes a qualitative addition and a distinctive start for the company, as the A320 winglets for single-aisle aircraft are the first product of its kind that it manufactures on the level of these models, and the company will work within the new manufacturing line on Meeting 50% of the demand according to the requirements of Airbus, which has a total future supply of more than 7,000 aircraft.
The company has also adopted a package of tools that enhance the development process, supporting digital transformation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including robotics, automation, data analysis, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, digital simulation of the work environment, information and communications technology solutions, and advanced materials manufacturing.
Strata adopted investment in research, development and advanced technologies, and was based on an ambitious strategy to employ smart manufacturing technologies, including exclusive drilling and drilling robots developed in cooperation with partners Boeing, Airbus and Khalifa University, in addition to robots for the automatic assembly of aircraft body parts, inspection techniques for aircraft parts using thermal imaging, and the processing and assembly of aircraft parts manufactured from composite materials.
Expectations indicate that the world needs 42,600 new aircraft by 2042, with a market value exceeding $7 trillion, most of which are directed to emerging markets in Asia and the Middle East. In light of the major global challenges that traditional supply chains have witnessed, such as Covid-19 and trade wars, and the rise in the costs of aircraft structure components by 35% in 2021-2022, Strata’s leadership emerges as a regional center with global standards in more flexible supply chains that reduce dependence on limited sources. It enhances industrial security.
Strata manufactures various parts within approximately 10 business packages for specific models of Pilatus business jets. Strata also supplies Boeing with the vertical stabilizer for the 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which is the largest parts manufactured outside the United States of America and in the region. The company is working on developing production lines for lightweight composite materials, as the percentage of carbon fiber in the new generation of aircraft is expected to reach 65% by 2035, achieving fuel savings of up to To 20%, thus significantly reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
In 2010, Strata launched a single production line to manufacture the outer surfaces of the Airbus A330 wing flaps, and has now reached more than 30 production lines, more than 90% of which are exclusive production lines, for major and secondary components of the fuselages of Boeing, Airbus, Pilatus, and others.
The exclusive production lines operated by Strata include 8 production lines for Airbus aircraft that produced more than 40,000 pieces, 4 production lines for Boeing aircraft with more than 33,000 pieces, and more than 9 production lines for Pilatus aircraft that produced approximately 30,000 pieces, making the UAE a global strategic industrial hub that is unique in manufacturing components used in 30% of aircraft, which is 1 out of every 3 aircraft flying around the world today. It contains components manufactured in the UAE, and during the year 2024, Strata achieved a 38% increase in production as a result of the increasing global demand for this industry.
In partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Strata achieved a qualitative achievement in 2023 by entering as a major contributor to the manufacture of parts of the Mohammed bin Zayed Sat satellite.
The percentage of national talent in Strata is 67%, the majority of whom are in advanced engineering, technical and technical positions, and Emirati women represent more than 87% of them, which reflects the company’s approach to supporting women’s advanced capabilities and enabling them to enter advanced manufacturing sectors. While the percentage of women working in the aviation industry sector at the global level constitutes 25%, women in Strata have excelled in unprecedented proportions of more than 50%.
The capabilities and skills of more than 700 national talents were enhanced in the airframe manufacturing program in cooperation between Strata, national academic institutions and global partners, distributed in 17 batches, who led the production and manufacturing processes at various stages. Emirati engineers of both genders are sent to build advanced capabilities with global partners.
It is noteworthy that the “Future Readiness Mark” is the first of its kind, and is awarded by the Office of Government Development and the Future, to federal and local government agencies, national and semi-governmental companies that implement qualitative projects that contribute to the development of new business models and create a tangible positive impact on society.
The Future Ready label focuses on projects being designed in priority sectors of the future such as the new economy, advanced technology, food and water security, sustainability, emerging sectors of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and quality of life.
