Company officials: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce mission enhances opportunities for external expansion and building partnerships in the markets of Malaysia and Cambodia

PHNOM PENH, 27 November, WAM – More than 20 leading Emirati companies operating in Dubai, covering 13 economic sectors, are examining opportunities for external expansion and building strategic partnerships in the markets of Malaysia and Cambodia, during the trade mission led by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce to Malaysia and Cambodia within the framework of the “New Horizons for Foreign Expansion” initiative.
The companies cover diverse economic sectors, including “food and beverages, oil and gas, engineering, consumer goods trading, healthcare, information technology and innovation, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, ready-to-wear and retail, textiles, building materials and construction, tourism and hospitality, and cosmetics.”
The participation reflects the great economic diversity in Dubai, as these companies represent promising opportunities for growth and investment through partnerships and foreign investment expansion for Dubai companies in promising international markets.
A number of national company officials and entrepreneurs confirmed in statements to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s trade mission, which included bilateral business meetings (B2B), provided the opportunity to build partnerships, conclude agreements, exchange experiences, and identify current and future areas of cooperation by identifying the needs of international markets, which would open promising economic opportunities for national companies and enable them to explore new markets and diversify their commercial activities, especially in Asian markets, which contributes to enhancing their growth and the sustainability of their business at the level. For her part, Tahira Haji, founder of the Dubai-based Konjac Skinfood Cosmetics brand, said that the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s organization of international visits and the opportunity for national companies to discuss cooperation with their counterparts in international markets represents an ambitious step that reflects Dubai’s pioneering role as a global center for business, trade and investment and its position as an ideal platform for Emirati companies to expand into global markets.
Haji added that her participation in the trade mission to Malaysia aims to expand the scope of her brand to new regions and markets through strategic partnerships and bilateral meetings between companies (B2B), praising the organization and the large presence of foreign companies and companies.
For his part, Humaid Ali Al Zaabi, founder and CEO of Liwa Gateway Group, which specializes in food manufacturing and export, said that his participation in the bilateral business meetings organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia and Cambodia comes with the aim of convening strategic companies and discussing opportunities to enter new markets, which contributes to developing a diversified business portfolio that enhances innovation, excellence and sustainability in the long term and benefiting from the growing economic scene in the UAE in foreign expansion operations from the Emirate of Dubai.

For his part, Omar Khaled Hamwi, General Manager and Partner at Nad Al Sheba International General Trading Company, said that participation in the bilateral business meetings organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce with the business sector in Malaysia and Cambodia reflects the interest in supporting the growth of companies operating in the country and working to enable them to access international markets and open effective channels of communication with investors from around the world in a way that ensures the sustainability of the economic growth of these companies and enhances the presence of Emirati brands in international markets.
He added that during this visit, the company was able to hold many meetings that resulted in reaching agreements with importers of agricultural commodities in Malaysia and Cambodia, noting that cooperation was also discussed with a number of companies working in the fields of agriculture, food processing, commodity trade and agricultural business.
