"Learn about 9 important decisions of the Council of Ministers at its weekly meeting"

The Council of Ministers, headed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, approved during its weekly meeting a series of important decisions that include legislative amendments, environmental and scientific initiatives, and investment and service projects. The most prominent of these decisions are as follows:

1. "Amendment to the Al-Azhar Reorganization Law"

   The Council approved a draft law amending some provisions of Law No. 103 of 1961 regarding the reorganization of Al-Azhar and its affiliated bodies, extending the service of members of the educational staff in Al-Azhar institutes when needed until the end of the academic year, on the condition that it does not exceed three years, while maintaining their insurance rights and full wages.

2. "Egypt joining the Green Middle East Initiative"

   The Council approved Egypt’s joining of the “Green Middle East” initiative. To enhance regional cooperation in confronting climate change and protecting the environment, and providing environmentally friendly investment opportunities in the region.

3. "Egypt is a partner in the European Horizon Scientific Research Program"

   The Council approved Egypt’s accession as a partner country to the “Horizon Europe” programme. For scientific research and innovation with the European Union, which enhances opportunities for research funding and scientific and innovative cooperation with member states.

4. "Establishing 7 projects for public benefit"

   The Council approved the establishment of 7 projects within the governorates of: Sharkia, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Sohag, and Beheira, including schools, flower institutes, a mosque, laying natural gas lines, and a pressure reduction and measurement station, to meet the service needs of the population.

5. "Contracting with the usufruct licensing system in North Sinai"

   The Council approved a contract under the usufruct licensing system for 46 craft workshop units at the Craft Industries Complex in Al-Masa’id in the city of Al-Arish for a period of ten years for the benefit of one of the companies.

6. "Contracting under the usufruct licensing system in Port Said"

   The Council approved a contract to exploit an area of ​​2,210 square meters in Port Said for a period of 26 years to expand a language school.

7. "Exploiting unexploited state lands in Beni Suef"

   The Council agreed to exploit a plot of land with an area of ​​505.5 square meters, as part of the state’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and encourage local and foreign investment.

8. "Allocating administrative headquarters and units for citizen support funds"

   The Council allocated headquarters for employees of the Ministries of Justice and Industry, and additional units for the Fund for Assistance to Victims of Human Trafficking and the Fund for Illegal Immigration and the Protection of Immigrants and Witnesses, to enhance the efficiency of institutional performance.

9. "Contracts in media, education, and housing"    

The Council approved the Social Housing Fund’s contract with the United Media Services Company to prepare and implement the media strategy for the “Housing for All Egyptians” project, and also approved the Ministry of Education’s contract to manage and operate educational channels and platforms on the “Nilesat” satellite. For 5 years.
