Counselor Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, Attorney General of the Federation, confirmed that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, ordered the release of 2,937 inmates in penal and correctional institutions who had been sentenced in various cases, and His Highness ensured the payment of the financial fines incurred in implementing those rulings, on the occasion of the country’s 54th Federation Day, representing a true embodiment of His Highness’s vision of consolidating the values of tolerance and justice. humanity and enhancing community cohesion, noting that this decision comes in line with the national trend established by the wise leadership by designating the year 2026 as the “Year of the Family,” emphasizing the importance of family cohesion and its role in building a stable society, as amnesty provides many families a new opportunity to restore their stability and reunite them, and to consolidate the values of interdependence and compassion.
