Washington and Tehran are close to concluding an agreement to end the war

Axios, citing American officials, revealed that the United States and Iran are close to reaching a framework agreement that may pave the way for ending the war between them, in light of accelerated diplomatic movements.
According to the sources, reaching an agreement is still not guaranteed, given the existence of fundamental outstanding differences between the two sides, despite the continuation of communication channels.
She explained that the United States has not yet officially agreed to extend the ceasefire, but consultations are still continuing, which reflects a state of cautious anticipation.
She added that if a framework agreement is reached, it is expected that the ceasefire will be extended, to allow room for negotiation of the details of a comprehensive agreement that will completely end the conflict.
