The primary surplus in the Egyptian budget rose to 236.8 billion pounds

The primary surplus of the general budget increased The Egyptian Ministry of Finance in its report today stated that The budget deficit recorded about 662.2 billion pounds, representing 3.2% of the gross domestic product during 4 months, compared to 435.2 billion pounds, representing 2.6% of the gross domestic product during the same period of the previous year.
She indicated that tax revenues increased significantly by 35% during the study period compared to the previous year, recording 756.7 billion pounds, in light of the integrated growth in the proceeds of all types of taxes.
Total Public revenues
The Egyptian Finance Department pointed out that total public revenues increased by about 215.7 billion pounds during the four months, to reach 863.9 billion pounds, compared to 648.2 billion pounds during the same period of the previous fiscal year, as receipts from tax revenues contribute about 87.6% of the total revenues and non-tax revenues about 12.4%.
It indicated that public expenditures increased by about 37.3%. 409.6 billion pounds, to record 1.507 trillion pounds within 4 months, compared to 1.098 trillion pounds during the same period of the previous fiscal year, in light of the Egyptian government’s continued efforts to take financial control measures and rearrange public spending priorities.
