المملكة: Thunderstorms, active winds, and fog… Friday weather forecast in Saudi Arabia

The Meteorology Department stated in its report: There is still an opportunity for light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers and active winds stirring up dust in parts of the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha and Makkah.

Saudi weather

While the sky will be partly cloudy to cloudy, which may be interspersed with rainy thunderstorms accompanied by active winds over parts of the regions of Medina, Tabuk and Hail, and extending to parts of the Al-Jawf and northern border regions.

Red Sea

• Surface winds: northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 12-30 km/h over the northern and central parts and southerly to southeasterly at a speed of 15-40 km/h reaching 50 km/h with rain thunderclouds forming over the southern part as well towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
• Wave height: from half a mile One to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from one to two metres, reaching a height of more than two metres, with rainy thunderclouds forming over the southern part as well towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
• Sea state: light to moderate waves over the northern and central parts, and medium waves reaching wavy with rainy thunderclouds forming over the southern part as well towards the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Arabian Gulf

• Surface winds: northwesterly to Northerly at a speed of 10-30 km/h.
• Wave height: from half a meter to a meter.
• Sea state: light waves.
